Articles of association



Article 1
The full name of the network is: European Network of Occupational Social Work (ENOS).


Goals and Objectives

Article 2
The objective of ENOS is to give occupational social workers in Europe the opportunity to exchange experiences, expertise, skills and ideas on occupational social work, honouring the members own cultural background.

Article 3
ENOS will have the following tasks;
a. Exchange of ideas, expertise and skills between occupational social workers in Europe;
b. Information on relevant subjects, such as: the state of occupational social work in the European countries, the collection of task and job descriptions, as well as the various kinds of problems encountered, publishing information through newsletters, etc. .
c. Organising gatherings, such as: meetings, lectures, workshop and
d. excursions with the aim of exploring the occupational social work identity.


Structure

Article 4.1
Membership is open to people who:
a. Are working within occupational social work in an organisation or educational institution.
b. Have a degree in Social Work, or closely related discipline that is nationally accepted.

Article 4.2
Coordination group
a. The aim is to have in the Coordination Group one member of each of the represented countries
b. The members of the Coordination Group will serve for a term of at least three years and no longer than six years.
c. If a member leaves the Coordination Group, the members of the country should replace their representative.
d. The Coordination group initiates, coordinates, stimulates and organises the activities- as mentioned in clause 3a, 3b and 3c above- on a European level.
e. The Coordination Group meets at least once a year.
f. The members of the Coordination Group must have available the facilities in time, money and communication equipment to maintain regular contact with the other members of the Coordination Group and with the members in their country.
g. The Coordination group can hand over activities-relating to the organisation of ENOS- to the European Secretariat as specified in article 4.3.

Article 4.3
European Secretariat
a. The European secretariat will consist at least of two (2) members, chosen by the Coordination Group.
b. The European secretariat will convene the Coordination Group, prepare the agendas of the meetings, keep the address of the members of ENOS and will execute the decisions made by the members.


Procedures

Article 5
a. The Coordination Group will deal with questions and proposals as quickly as possible using all available (electronic) means.
b. A conference will be organised in turn by the coordinators once in a year and a half, or two years, covering housekeeping issues as well as theme discussions.
c. The members of the Coordination Group are chosen by the members of ENOS of their own country.
d. All decisions can be made by a majority, if there are at least 50% of the member countries represented, gathered on the European conference.

Article 6
Membership of ENOS will provide the following information of activities:
*Address list of all members of ENOS.
*A meeting once in one year and a half.
*Information on improved ways to communicate.
*Information on request.


Financial

Article 7
a. The income of ENOS consists of yearly subscriptions from members, donations and other revenues.
b. The yearly subscription will be agreed upon at the plenary meeting.
c. The coordinator collects the subscription and 50% is sent on the account of the European secretariat and 50% can be used for national activities.
d. One member of the European secretariat will be responsible for all financial matters related to the European secretariat, and will be accountable to the members of ENOS.
e. The membership of ENOS is terminated automatically when the contribution is not paid before December 31st of the year that the contribution is owed.


Alteration

Article 8
These ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION can be changed by a majority if there are at least 50% of the member countries represented, gathered on the European conference.


Dissolution

Article 9
The members of ENOS can decide by majority decision (see article 8) to formally dissolve ENOS either direct, by mandate or post. A written application in advance is necessary.

When ENOS will be dissolved, the coordination group shall present to the members an appropriate proposal with regard to the financial means.
